The mission of the Department of Business Administration and Economics is to provide a quality, business learning experience to both undergraduate and graduate students that fosters the development of multidisciplinary business analysis and problem-solving skills thus allowing them to be successful in professional careers in business, government, and the non-profit sector. The department is further committed to offering quality, broad-based business-related education and expertise to business and industry.

With expertise in corporate marketing, customer experience, marketing communications, digital marketing as well as strategic planning and research, you鈥檒l be ready for careers in for profit, not-for-profit, corporate as well as small business opportunities.

To earn the Bachelor of Science in marketing, students in the Robert W. Plaster College of Business must fulfill University studies requirements, the college pre-major and major requirements, as well as complete the college core studies. This degree requires a minimum of 120 semester hours.

The marketing major consists of a core set of courses that provides students with the fundamental skills and the strategic mindset required for all career paths in marketing. Experiential courses, co-op opportunities, mentoring and networking round out the study of marketing at 澳门六合彩开奖记录资料.

Each full-time faculty member is terminally degreed with either a Ph.D. or DBA and experience in their particular field. Our adjunct faculty are chosen from local professionals with expertise in their discipline.听 Each full-time faculty member is either a Ph.D. or MBA.听 Each faculty member brings a unique set of talents and perspectives to Thomas More providing a blend of academic and practical experience in the classroom.听 Experience and accomplishments of current faculty members include:

  • Long-term management of corporate marketing departments for Fortune 500 and 1000 companies, in industrial marketing, product marketing, strategy, planning and digital market
  • Experience in working with the boards of local not-for-profit companies.

Graduates work in both corporate as well as small businesses in B2B and B2C organizations.听

There are many opportunities for those with a marketing degrees in for profit and not-for-profit companies, in industries such as retail, wholesale, manufacturing, technology, digital and service organizations.听

Occupational possibilities include: marketing specialist, supervisor, manager, director, vice-president and chief marketing officer (CMO) level positions, strategist, researcher, digital marketer, marketing communications, advertising, promotion, public relations, teacher, consultant, private practitioner or entrepreneur.听

Many marketing students participate in co-op programs where they are paid for their work while earning academic credit.听

Students also work in a variety of situations while going to school full time at internships, part-time and full-time work positions.

Several business partners fund scholarships for and several endowed scholarships are available to Thomas More marketing students. Thomas More offers a wide range of scholarship opportunities to which students can apply. Delta Mu Delta, the Business Honorary Society, also has scholarship opportunities.

Traditional College of Business students majoring in Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, or Management Information Systems can earn graduate credit for four MBA courses taken in their senior year of college. Completing the four graduate courses enables the students to earn their bachelor鈥檚 degree in four years and their Master of Business Administration degree in the fifth year.
