Academic Advising

First-year and second-year students at Thomas More are assigned to a professional advisor. Students who have chosen a major are also assigned to a faculty advisor. Accelerated online and graduate program students are advised by a facultyÌýadvisor based on major. Advisors assist students throughout their college years; students are encouraged to maintain close contact with their advisors in order to achieve their goals.

Academic Advisor Kelsey WicherKelsey WicherÌý– Director of Academic Advising

Kelsey Wicher has been with °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼×ÊÁÏ since 2018, starting as an academic advisor for the accelerated and graduate programs. She is an adjunct instructor for the College of Business at Thomas More. Topics she has taught include leadership, organizational behavior, FYE (FYS), and leadership and identity. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in organizational leadership from Northern Kentucky University, a Master of Science in management from Sullivan University, and is certified in adult mental health first aid. Wicher loves working with students and helping them achieve their goals. Her personal goal is to make a difference in the community and be a supportive role model for students as they thrive and help the community and region grow and flourish. 
Academic Advisor Devon FisherDevon FisherÌý– Professional Advisor College of Business, Exercise Science, Exercise and Health StrategiesDevon Fisher joined Thomas More in 2018 and, in addition to being an advisor, is also an assistant football coach, and strength and conditioning coach. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in exercise science, and in 2018 from Western Illinois University with a Master of Science in kinesiology. In his free time, Devon loves sports, woodworking, and playing video games. He looks forward to working with students as a professional advisor, helping them strive towards achieving their academic goals and earning a diploma. 
Academic Advising Ashley HallAshley HallÌý– Professional Advisor College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Math & Physics, Chemistry & BiochemistryAshley Hall is the newest professional advisor to join the Thomas More staff. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, but spent most of her adolescent life in State College, Pennsylvania. In higher education, she attended Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania, from 2014-2018. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English with several specializations including professional and dramatic writing, and a minor in theater. Her interests include reading and writing, playing with her dog, Tim, and attending art shows and theater productions with her husband. Before joining the Thomas More community, she was employed for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Drawing from this experience, she hopes to effectively advise present and future Thomas More students.
